Trying to crochet in the spring time is like wearing a winter sweater during the summer! It’s just pure MADNESS I tell yah! I would love to crochet it’s just that it gets so hot when you’re underneath all that yarn! Then again it is the perfect time to start stocking up all your WINTER gifts because you’re the CRAZY YARN LADY. Okay, people don’t literally call me that but I DO feel like I am the crazy crochet/cat lady but minus the cats? I don’t have cats, I have dogs, does that still count? So for this spring some projects that I am THINKING about taking on or making. I’ll let you know as the season progresses or you can keep tabs on me if you’d like! Here are some cute ideas! If you have any you’d like to share that’d be awesome!
Crochet Washcloths or Dishcloths
I love my new wash cloths! Love them so much that I still haven’t been able to use them! They were super easy to make and each took me about an hour! Thanks to this amazing blogger for writing out the pattern! Just make sure to use thick cotton yarn…any other type won’t work.
I love all things hand made. Hoping to save up for a sewing machine. My sweet friend gave me a sewing machine but no pedal and I can’t find one for it so the poor thing is just sitting there. I love crocheting did I tell you that already? Thank goodness my husband puts up with me because my YARN and CROCHET products are all over the house….now once I learn how to sew it’s gonna be OVER…over I’m tellin’ yah…
Alright well just wanted to tell you that my house is being over taken by crochet items and I’m so thankful my husband doesn’t mind! =))) Now only when I can figure out how to balance my time to crochet, blog, social media and hubby time! lolol Any ideas on what project I should start on next?
As requested!! Sorry if this pattern is horrible it’s the first time that I’m actually writing a pattern ^^ Hope it’s understandable if not please let me know and I’ll try to explain it! Enjoy!
Attach the rose to where you would like it at the end. (I did it at about the 5th set of dc in).
I used an I-Hook and crocheted the rose very loosely. Here’s the pattern for the Crochet Rose.
I used the Lion Brand Homespun Yarn below 320 Regency color.
- Row 1: 90 stitches
- Row 2: dc in 3stitch from hook, dc again in same stitch, *skip next 2 stitches then TWO dc in next stitch, chain 2* Repeat from * to * to end of row. Turn and chain 2.
- Row 3: *2 dc in ch-2* (so 2 dc in between where the 2 chains from the previous row were made). Turn and chain 2.
- Row 4-7: Repeat Row 3.
- Row 8: *2 dc in ch-2* Repeat from *to* till about after the 24th set of dc and chain 11-12 stitches and continue again from *to* till end and tie off and hide loose ends. (This part really depends on how snug you want the scarf to fit on you. I tuck in one end into the stitches.)
I think is my MOST ACCOMPLISHED project EVAR. I am in love with it still….I love love my granny square quilt!
